Echostar
39 Female Leader MistClan Straight |
Intelligent | Compassionate | Timid | Anxious |
Appearance
EchoStar has long, thick fur, that is dark brown in color with darker stripes. Her chest is entirely white, which reaches down her legs and up just a little around her neck, and up to her muzzle to curl around her nose, which is dark in color. Her eyes are light green, almost yellow, and long white whiskers adorn her face. Tufts of dark fur tip her ears.
Personality
EchoStar is a very intelligent cat, a trait which led to her becoming deputy, which enabled her to become leader of her Clan in the first place. She can think fast on her feet and quickly come up with solutions to most problems her Clan faces. She is also very compassionate to those in her Clan and has a great desire to take care of them to the best of her ability. This compassion rarely extends to those outside her Clan, and never to rogues.
She is also very anxious, and sometimes has doubt in her ability to lead, especially because of her youth. She tries her best not to let her fellow Clanmates see her anxiety, but may not always be successful. This leads to her occasional very timid behavior, which also comes to play in her decision making. She is reserved, and would not be quick to go to battle.

History
Echokit was born last in a litter of 3. She was the shyest of her siblings, and had a hard time making friends. In fact, her closest friend was her sister, until they grew apart after becoming apprentices. Her timidness affected her apprenticehood, and her mentor warned her that she could not become a warrior until she stopped letting her anxiety make her second guess her decisions. She did well in tracking and hunting, but doubted herself too much when she was learning moves for battle. This took time for her to do, but she finally became a warrior at 13 moons.
Echoheart knew only peace in her Clan until she was 19 moons. Around this time there were border skirmishes with a group of rogue cats that ended with a fierce battle. In this battle her leader, DustStar, lost his second to last life, as well as a few warrior lives.
Due to the loss of warriors, DustStar was patrolling the borders himself more often than usual. Not long after the battle with the rogues, his patrol found themselves in the path of a cougar that strayed into their territory. Duststar lost his final life in the following battle, as well as another warrior and an apprentice.
His deputy Ashstar, already an older cat, became Leader. If there had been less deaths in the past few months, another cat, a braver cat, may have become deputy. Maybe not. But as it was, he felt compelled to chose Echoheart as deputy of MistClan. It was their job to plan a way to get rid the cougar, for it hadn't left yet. Echoheart helped him devise a plan for two teams of cats to attack at different times to scare the predator away. The plan worked, no lives were lost, and Ashstar knew he had made the right decision.
When Echoheart was 33 moons, just 10 moons after becoming leader, DustStar retired at 70 moons. She was young, but he was tired and felt that she was ready for the responsibilities that came with the position. Nothing of note has happened in the 6 moons since her ceremony, and she is thankful for that.
